larger image 		To help reduce tension and stress during long tedious hours in operating rooms, hospital staff members often turn to music. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to determine whether the consumer devices they often bring with them for this purpose are double-insulated as required by NFPA-99 (Health Care Facilities) Section 8.4.1.2.1.1, or whether they meet the limitations for leakage current in Section 8.4.1.3.5. Additionally, these consumer devices often produce stray signals that can interfere with sensitive patient-care equipment. These portable units are rarely sterilized, thus creating a further hazard of introducing a potential source of infection. Because of these hazards, most accrediting agencies suggest the removal of these units from operating rooms.

PG LIFELINK has developed a solution to this problem. We offer a wide range of integrated stereo systems designed for installation inside the operating theater. Units are flush wall mounted on stainless steel faceplates and designed to be hardwired to one of our Isolated Power Systems. This allows for an unobtrusive and safe installation that meets all code requirements. Speaker modules are available for wall or ceiling mount and include stainless steel faceplates for better infection control. Standard features include AM/FM Stereo, CD, mp3 player/i-Pod interface and USB ports.

Installation
